Transitioning

Doing something for the first time always takes a bit of getting used to: cycling a bike, using chopsticks, public speaking. But take it slow - relax. Do it bit by bit. And wear a helmet*.

When it comes to changing your dog's diet, taking things slowly can help too. When you change things too quickly, they could get an upset tummy. But we’re here to make sure that everything goes smoothly.

We recommend starting off by gradually adding their new Butternut Box meals to their current food across a number of days. We include a transition guide in your first box which will help show you how to move your dog over to Butternut. Transitioning slowly throughout the first week or so allows your dog to get used to their fresh meals.

*Only useful when cycling a bike. It's probably not really necessary when using chopsticks or when you're giving a speech, we reckon.
